TROPICAL PARTIES
Latin afro caribbean roots disco club
Next edition : July 12th 2013

The Tropical parties moved into a new club since the summer. The Jour de Fête club (formerly known as the Osmo Club) is small, oldschool, underground, classy velvet style, like the music we play. First edition was a blast, so we have a deal here.
Being a latin aficionado myself for more then a decade, finally the time has come to dedicate a night to all these latin rhythms from the 60s, 70s and beyond. We start with early salsa/merengue/boogaloo/latin jazz for the dancers until midnight. From there it gets wild with worldwide tropical rhythms from Latin America, the Caribbean, the Antillas, Africa...
It started as a monthly party with a new guest every time. Toy Selectah, the godfather of the Cumbia Neuva movement, came in as a surprise guest for the first edition and made it a hit from the start. Amongst other guests we could count on Dj Reedoo (Afroheat), Frankie Francis & Hugo Mendez (Sofrito), Rickard Masip (Tropical Treats), Luis Soulful, dj Pinchado, Edo Bouman (Bombay Connection), Nik Weston (Mukatsuku) etc. Expect more incredible tropical connaisseurs to step in the game as we move further.
